MarkaJiap ("the Extension") is a Markdown viewer Chrome extension developed by Phariyawit Chaiparitte. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Data Collection
We do NOT collect any personal data.
The Extension:

- ❌ Does NOT send any data to external servers
- ❌ Does NOT use analytics or tracking services
- ❌ Does NOT store your data in the cloud
Data Processing
All data processing happens entirely on your local device:
- Markdown files are rendered locally in your browser
- User preferences (theme, font size, etc.) are stored locally using Chrome's
storage.syncAPI - No data is transmitted to any external server

Third-Party Services
The Extension does NOT use any third-party services, APIs, or tracking tools.
All libraries used (Mermaid, highlight.js, KaTeX, marked, DOMPurify) are bundled locally and do not make any network requests.
Data Storage
User preferences are stored using Chrome's storage.sync API, which:
- Syncs settings across your Chrome browsers (if signed in)
- Is managed entirely by Chrome
- Can be cleared by uninstalling the Extension
Children's Privacy
The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age.

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version here with an updated date.
